Hickman made her first Indianapolis radio appearance live on Afternoons with Amos. In her interview which you can hear above, and joined by fellow Council candidate Leroy Robinson, Hickman hit the ground running criticizing the failure of leadership by Mayor Greg Ballard. Hickman said jobs, crime and education are the issues she’ll be stressing. Especially helping small retail businesses which will help put people in the neighborhoods back to work.

Hickman replaces Councilwoman Joanne Sanders who withdrew for the race for re-election because of increasing demands from her employer.  Hickman, a life long Indianapolis resident, is a businesswoman who has been active in the community. Hickman is board member of the Forest Manor Multi Service Center, Salvation Army and several other organizations.
