She was in a abusive relationship with a drug dealer which brought her Federal drug dealing and conspiracy charges which led to a sentence of 24 years in prison. She served six years then received a Presidential commutation of sentence from President Bill Clinton. Today, Kemba Smith Pradia tells youth nationwide not to make the mistakes she made. She received Indiana Black Expo’s Caroline Brown Mosby Above and Beyond Award Thursday. She talked with Afternoons with Amos and listeners about her experiences. Hear the interview above.
