Democratic mayoral candidate Melina Kennedy blasted, while Mayor Greg Ballard defended the proposed deal by a California company to bring 1,100 jobs to Indy. Interviewed on Afternoons with Amos live special from the Outback Luncheon, Kennedy said city and state officials had been “punked” by officials of LiTEBOX, Inc who have proposed the deal, citing information showing the company’s plans weren’t fully thought out. Also interviewed, Mayor Greg Ballard who defended the deal saying “performance guarantees” assure that the city and state wouldn’t hold the bag if LiTEBOX doesn’t follow through.
