The Academy of Country Music Awards wasn’t the only music special on the air on Sunday (April 1). BET aired their 12th annual “Celebration of Gospel.”
The Steve Harvey-hosted show featured a “Who’s Who” of gospel greats including Ricky Dillard & New G, Kirk Franklin and Marvin Sapp. It also offered a few guest stars including Faith Evans and Johnny Gill.
The event even drew “Glee” star Amber Riley. Riley performed during a tribute to Mahilia Jackson alongside Yolanda Adams, Shirley Caesar and Jennifer Holliday.
Riley was impressed with Adams, writing on Twitter, “She is always flawless.”
