It’s no secret that the BET Celebration of Gospel has been notorious for the last 12 years in bringing both gospel and R&B artists together live on stage. This year, however, breakthrough gospel vocalist Isaac Carree was among the top performers on Sunday night’s BET Celebration of Gospel for a different reason.

The “In the Middle” singer of course hit the stage for the very first time as a solo artist. He kicked things off by singing his radio-friendly tune, but he also had what some think was an unexpected guest performing alongside him.

Fonzworth Bentley, a good friend who recently dedicated his life to Christ joined Carree on his hit single with the energy that’s needed in live performances these days. The two completely captivated the audience with retro choreography and simply looked as if they were having a great time praising the name of Jesus on national TV, but of course we want to know how did the pair decide to come together in such a unique way.
