Rapper 50 Cent, real name Curtis Jackson, has visited the war torn country of Somalia in support of the World Food Program. Somalia has dealt with civil war as well as famine and piracy in recent years.

50 Cent joins other celebrities such as Angelina Jolie, U2′s Bono and fellow rapper Jay-Z in making visits to impoverished areas of Africa, highlighting the problems there. He has pledged to use his energy drink, Street Kings, to help feed starving children in Africa. Due to the explicit lyrics of his music, the United Nations originally didn’t want to take his money.
