Leaders of the Indianapolis City-County Council are demanding leadership from Mayor Greg Ballard in solving the over $30 million funding crisis in the city/county’s Public Safety Agencies.  Appearing on Afternoons with Amos, City-County Council President Maggie Lewis, Majority Leader Vernon Brown and At Large Councilmen Zach Adamson and John Barth talked frankly about the city’s money mess and how the Council and Mayor must work together to solve it.  The leaders also expressed concerns about the Jason Kloth, the new Deputy Mayor for Education; and also talked about jobs, infrastructure, problems with the Mayor’s Office selection of polling places and took calls and concerns from listeners. The leaders also said confirmations of Public Safety Director Dr. Frank Straub and Public Works Department Director-designate Lori Miser have been delayed for so the Council can gather more information.
