Reach Records general in charge Lecrae just announced that on May 10th, he will be releasing a new mixtape entitled Church Clothes. It will be hosted by DJ Don Cannon and will feature guest appearances from No Malice (Formally Malice of the Clipse) plus heavyweight production from 9th Wonder, Boi-1da, and Street Symphony. It will serve as the warm up for his new full length albumGravity which will drop this fall.If you don’t know Lecrae, get familiar. He was one of the featured MCs on the BET Hip Hop Awards Cypher, has been Grammy nominated and has more fire to come.
Don Cannon on working with Lecrae:“What interested me was that he feels so strongly about his beliefs and I am the same way,” states DJ Don Cannon. “Its something special in music to be able to stand up in this industry and bring the people something different.”
Lecrae about the mixtape: “This mixtape is aimed at the mainstream and is raw uncut hip-hop,” states Lecrae. “This is totally different from my past releases and I hope can build a bridge between my current fans and create new ones.”
