President Scott Miller of the Greater Indianapolis Chamber of Commerce appeared on Afternoons with Amos in an in depth interview about the Chamber’s new efforts to bring jobs to the city and region, especially to our African-American community.  Miller was joined by Chamber Vice-President Tammie Barney as Amos asked Miller about whether the Chamber’s merging of city and regional job development jobs would dilute efforts to bring jobs to hard hit Indy neighborhoods.  The discussion also included discussion of the Chamber’s efforts to get companies to hire ex-offenders; improving Indianapolis schools, especially in the wake of problems with the IRead third grade reading tests.  Some listeners thought Miller’s answers to questions were evasive and not direct.
