EXCLUSIVE: Republican candidate for Governor Rep. Mike Pence wants to make sure that vocational education is provided in every Indiana high school.  In his first public interview after announcing his campaign’s first major policy announcement, Pence told Afternoons with Amos that to help give Hoosiers the skills they needs, there needs to be a renewed emphasis on vocational education. Pence would create regional Indiana Works Councils  bringing employers and educators together to design demand-driven career, technical and vocational curriculum that would create job opportunities for high school graduates. Pence told Amos this part part of his efforts to create more jobs and improve the skills of Hoosier students and older workers. Pence explained more of his educational initiatives during his interview with Amos and expressed his desire to visit Indiana Black Expo next month.
