The Indianapolis community continues to react to the senseless murder of 13 year old Jarrell Tucker who was slain Monday evening in the 100 block of North Denny on Indianapolis’ east side.  Tucker somehow was involved in a confrontation with several in his neighborhood.  A convicted felon, Glenn Ervin Beard is wanted by Indianapolis Metropolitan Police as a suspect in Tucker’s murder.  On Afternoons with Amos the Revs. Byron Alston and Horatio Luster, members of the Ten Point Coalition, talked about this latest example of senseless killings in Indianapolis.  Both men and others from Ten Point were in the neighborhood since the murder helping to bring the community together.  IMPD Interim Chief Rick Hite joined the conversation to update listeners on the ongoing investigation and what Hite learned when he talked with neighborhood residents. Listeners also weighed in with their feelings on the tragedy.
