President Clinton greeting thousands at North Central HS. With (L-R) Rep. Joe Donnelly, John Gregg, former Sen. Evan Bayh

In spirited appearance in Indianapolis, former President Bill Clinton excited some 3,000 with a rousing speech blasting the Republicans refusal to cooperate in governing the country. Mr. Clinton attacked Republicans “my way or the highway” mentality, while praising the bipartisanship of Senator Richard Lugar.  President Clinton appeared at a boisterous rally at North Central High School to boost the campaigns of Rep. Joe Donnelly running for the US Senate and John Gregg running for Governor. Every poll has shown that Donnelly is neck-and-neck with his Republican opponent State Treasurer Richard Mourdock. While John Gregg’s campaign against Rep. Mike Pence is said to be narrowing.  Democrats hope the appearance by President Clinton will help- energize Democratic and voters and influence independents and “Lugar” Republicans to take a look at splitting their ballots for Donnelly and Gregg.
