Indianapolis celebrated the re-election victory of President Barack Obama during a special edition of Afternoons with Amos. Listeners told of their reaction and happiness at the President’s big win.  They talked about the challenges that lie ahead for the President and the fierce hatred expressed by those who oppose him.  Listeners also talked about the wins by Democrats in Indianapolis/Marion County. The election of Senator-elect Joe Donnelly and the upset win of Glenda Ritz over Dr. Tony Bennett to be Indiana’s new Superintendent of Public Instruction.   Listeners also talked about the new individuals elected to the IPS School Board and other area school boards and that the President’s second Inauguration which will occur of the Dr. Martin Luther King Holiday, Monday, January 21, 2013.
