Less than a year from now, Indianapolis and Indiana’s newest hospital, Eskenazi Hospital, will open for business.  The new hospital will be the successor to Wishard Hospital. The new hospital was made possible by a landslide vote of residents in 2009 and the generosity of Sidney and Lois Eskenazi who donated $40 million towards the hospital’s construction. Providing the community an update on the new hospital in a special Afternoons with Amos segment were Matthew Gutwein, Chairman of the Health and Hospital Corporation of Marion County which built and will operate the hospital.
