Every year scores of African-American men, women and children go missing. Vanishing without a trace. These missing Black people haven’t gotten the attention from media, until now. Now in its second season, TV One’s Find Our Missing focuses on cases of Black missing persons; trying to find new information, leads and closure. Acclaimed actress S. Epatha Merkerson hosts Find Our Missing. She talked about the program and its impact with our Afternoons with Amos audience. Merkerson also talked about her distinguished acting career. She’s won Emmy, Screen Actors Guild and NAACP Image awards for her work. Besides a fixture on TV’s Law and Order and her acclaimed Lackawanna Blues for HBO, Merkerson has been a star on Broadway and in movies. She had a pivotal role opposite Tommy Lee Jones in the Oscar nominated movie Lincoln. Check out our interview with S.
