TODAY DR MARTIN LUTHER KING WOULD HAVE CELEBRATED HIS BIRTHDAY!

DR. J KIMMONS WROTE AN ARTICLE ENCOURAGING US TO CELEBRATE DR. KING’S BIRTHDAY BY WORKING AGAINST GUN VIOLENCE!  DR KIMMONS SUGGESTS IN HIS ARTICLE:

“We, as African Americans, need to celebrate this day by demonstrating how we can develop each other; encourage each other; support each other; respect each other; promote each other; educate each other; and learn how to love people of all races. Dr. King gave his life for poor people +—people who had very few rights; people who had no voice; people who were being slaughtered in Vietnam. I grew up and attended school with many of the African-American family members who were sanitation workers in Memphis. Dr. King was fighting for their rights and fair wages when he was murdered.”
