Warryn and Erica Campbell

Music fans who went online and watched the live stream of the 55th Annual Grammy Awards Pre-Telecast Ceremony last Sunday got a quick glimpse of one of the most prosperous family businesses in the industry.

When Erica Campbell took the stage to accept the Best Gospel Song Grammy for her songwriting on Mary Mary’s “Go Get It” (sister Tina Campbell, the duo’s other half, was not in attendance), she was joined by co-writer Warryn Campbell – who also happens to be her husband of eleven years and the producer/mastermind behind Mary Mary’s success.

“The best part about working with my wife is that there becomes a certain familiarity with how I work, and what I like, and like to hear,” Warryn said in an exclusive interview with MadameNoire.com. “I don’t know that I prefer working with my wife and my sister, but I will say there’s a certain chemistry we do have that I don’t have with anybody else.”

That chemistry has translated into millions of Mary Mary records sold, four Grammys, and countless other recognitions and awards. Fans can watch how the loving parents of three balance work and family on WeTV’s hit reality show, Mary Mary, airing Thursday nights at 9 p.m. EST.

Vince Gill and Amy Grant

Both fresh out of broken relationships, Vince Gill and Amy Grant received considerable backlash when they married in 2000. The decision to divorce and remarry led to attacks against moral character and cracks in public perception – particularly for Grant, who had become the “Queen of Christian Pop” and married Gill within in a year of the split from her previous husband.

Now, more than a dozen years later, the two are still happily married and making beautiful music together. As legends in their own rights – Gill is a country music uber-star with 20 Grammys to his credit, while Grant is a legend of Contemporary Christian Music with major crossover appeal and six Grammys of her own – the two frequently join forces on projects and concerts.

Gill and Grant actually met while shooting a video for a song on Grant’s 1994 album House of Love, so it’s no surprise that they are comfortable working together. For the past six years the duo has embarked on a Christmas tour together, spreading holiday cheer around the country.
