Four-hundred-and-50 people in Indianapolis may qualify for part of a settlement reached with Countrywide Financial. U.S. Attorney Joe Hogsett says if you are an African American or a Latino and applied for a Countrywide home loan between 2004 and 2008, you need to call his office immediately. The settlement was reached with the lending company after prosecutors accused them of charging minorities higher fees and interest rates than white borrowers.
