FOUR PEOPLE SHOT

Four people were shot and one has died in a shooting on the city’s east side just before 8 p.m. tonight. IMPD rushed to the 1800 block of Edinburge Square in the Wellington Village apartment complex, near 16th Street and Franklin Road, after receiving multiple reports of shots fired. One man died at the scene, the other three survived. Two of the victims were transported to the hospital — one in critical condition and one with non-life-threatening injuries. No motive for the shooting, but investigators are checking out the neighborhood for witnesses. A few witnesses reported seeing two black males running from the scene of the shooting in a dark-colored vehicle, but police have no other information about possible suspects.
