The cast of “The Mary Tyler Moore Show” is reuniting on screen. “Hot In Cleveland” star Betty White will welcome her old “Mary Tyler Moore Show” pals Mary Tyler Moore, Valerie Harper, Cloris Leachman and Georgia Engel on an upcoming episode of her TVLand series. The reunion is especially poignant given Harper’s recent revelation about her diagnosis with terminal brain cancer. The “Rhoda” actress said earlier this month that doctors had given her between three and six months to live. Taping for the “Hot In Cleveland” episode is scheduled for April 5th. It will mark the ladies’ first on screen reunion since the final “Mary Tyler Moore Show” aired in 1977.
According to Deadline.com, the episode will see the former castmates playing former bowling teammates who reunite years after a falling out. Engel, who played Georgette on “The Mary Tyler Moore Show,” already has a recurring guest role on “Hot In Cleveland” and Moore previously appeared on the show in a guest role.
