The Indiana State Fair has a new event for people with singing skills.

Starting this year, the fair is having a singing competition called Vocal Throwdown. Two people can win the grand prize of $500 and second and third place winners will also receive cash.

Competitors must be non-professional singers who live in Indiana and are 21 years old or younger. Winners will be awarded for a junior division, for ages 6-15, and a senior division, ages 16-21.

People interested in entering must submit a video that is 5 minutes or shorter at the Indiana State Fair’s website or Facebook page . Entries will be accepted until June 28.

From July 5-21, the videos will be on the fair’s Facebook page where they’ll compete for the most votes. The top 10 performing videos will get to compete on Aug. 3 at the fair, where a panel of judges will cut the competitors down to a final five.

The top five singers will perform on Aug. 10, when winners will be chosen.
