Gospel trailblazer Deitrick Haddon, who successfully intermingles contemporary styling of R&B and Christian sensibilities to produce his own unique brand of “Gospel Soul” music, continues to have his way at radio with the new single “Have Your Way” picking up Gospel radio stations since the week of April 29.  Haddon, who will release his twelfth studio album, “R.E.D.: Restoring Everything Damaged” on Tuesday, September 3, 2013, is slated to headline a R.E.D. promotional tour in eight markets beginning in August

Joseph Burney, Senior Director of A&R at RCA Inspiration and Haddon’s long time A&R executive says, ”Have Your Way embodies true transparency and bold confession.”  He describes the single as “a beautiful song that – in true Deitrick Haddon form – seamlessly transitions from the contemporary pulse of its conversational verses to the memorable chorus firmly rooted in Gospel.”

A mid-tempo track with a pop-rock edge, ”Have Your Way” is R.E.D.’s lead single.  This song about surrendering flawlessly sets the tone for R.E.D. and prepares audiences to delve further into the theme of restoration for a journey to redemption.

“As new school as we think of Deitrick Haddon as being, this song reminds us that he is still fully grounded in the straight up message of the gospel,” said Deborah Smith Pollard host of “Rhythm and Praise” at MIX 92.3 in Detroit.  ”Listening to ‘Have Your Way’ is a great way to understand Deitrick’s singular, always captivating space in any effort to explain modern gospel music building upward on traditional themes,” added Pat McKay of SiriusXM Radio.

The R.E.D. metaphor and its message of redemption are consistent throughout the album that will be made available in a standard 12-song set and an expanded “Deluxe Edition” featuring five bonus tracks.

“The title, R.E.D.: Restoring Everything Damaged, is more than just a creative acronym.  It represents an album that is, for me, very transparent,” offers Haddon.  “R.E.D. means the color of love…the color of life…the color that binds us all together.  It’s the color of the blood of Jesus, He that forgives us of our sins and restores everything damaged in our lives.”
