One of the artists performing at the 2nd annual Indiana Fever Praise and Power event is Patrick Dopson one of Gospel Music’s rising young stars. Patrick talked exclusively with Afternoons with Amos about his music, his ministry, how he got started and much more.  For those familiar with this rising star, Patrick Dopson has been involved in music ministry since he started playing the drums and singing in his father’s church in Selma, Alabama. As a young child, Patrick not only absorbed music in his church, but also listening to gospel artists such as The Winans, Commissioned, John P. Kee, Marvin Sapp, Gary Oliver, Fred Hammond, Shirley Caesar and mass choirs, which have all influenced his life. A resident of Montgomery, Alabama, Patrick Dopson serves as Director of Worship at his father’s church. Patrick’s was a writer and contributor on Fred Hammond’s only Grammy wining album ‘Free To Worship’. Patrick’s first single, “Keep Me” released on his Oilonit Music label, became a Billboard Gospel hit and even received a Stellar nomination for Song of The Year. A rising star who has appeared with some of the top gospel stars in America many of whom he listened to as a child.
