Pastor William Henry Murphy was arrested at the Atlanta Hartsfield-Jackson Airport Wednesday for trying to board an aircraft with a loaded gun.

According to reports, the “Praise Is What I Do” singer said he forgot his 9 mm hand gun was in his carry-on luggage. When TSA confiscated the weapon, authorities discovered it was loaded with 10 rounds.

Murphy, who was ordained a bishop at Dream Center Church just days prior, was taken into custody and held at $2500. Although he did have a license, he was charged with carrying a weapon in an unauthorized location.

“I think anybody who attempts to bring a gun on a plane after 9-11 is not okay,” one traveler told Atlanta’s WSB-TV.

Another witness added, “I don’t see how you would forget that you had that type of weapon in your luggage.”

The well-known pastor currently faces jail time and civil penalties up to $7,500.
