IPS is naming its new superintendent today. The board of school commissioners will make the announcement at 11 this morning. The final three candidates include Thomas Darden, Lewis Ferebee and Millard House.
Muncie Parents Arrested After 5 Year Old Dies
A Muncie couple has been charged with neglect of a dependent resulting in death in the death of a 5-year-old girl in their home.
Charlene and Marcus Tabb were formally charged Friday in the June 22 death of Marie Pierre.
Police said Marie was “unresponsive and not breathing” when they were called to the Tabb home and they found more than 80 abuse marks on her body.
Indianapolis Colts Arrested In Washington D.C.
Police say Indianapolis Colts safety Joe Lefeged was arrested on gun-related charges after a traffic stop in the nation’s capitol.
Lefeged was a passenger in a car that fled from police after a traffic stop for speeding early Saturday morning. Police smelled marijuana in the car and found an open container of alcohol and semi-automatic pistol underneath the front passenger seat.
The Colts had no comment.
