Max Siegel is a born and bred Indianapolis guy.  But only Afternoons with Amos could track Max Siegel down in the heart of Moscow Russia to talk with him about his new effort to encourage more African-Americans youngsters to get involved in motor racing.  Siegel was in Moscow for the IAAF World Championships going on now in the Russian capital.  Sielgel is there as CEO of USA Track and Field.  But on August 24th here in Indy, Siegel is launching a new MSI Youth Foundation which has as its mission to “Utilize sports and entertainment platforms to educate our youth, instill leadership values, and train and prepare them for productive and healthy lives by hel;ping produce the next generation of sports and entertainment professionals”. Siegel, who not only energized the motor racing with his involvement in NASCAR, was big in both pop and gospel mucic through his involvement with some of the hottest pop and gospel stars around.  Now Siegel’s new MSI Youth Foundation promises to encourage minority youth involvement in NASCAR and other motorsports.  The first fundraiser for the new foundation is August 24th at the Indianapolis Art Center.
