Recently, the new Superintendent of the Indianapolis Public Schools, Dr. Lewis Ferebee sent a letter to all the district’s over 29,000 students introducing himself. In the letter Dr. Ferebee talked about his background and his role and responsibility in preparing students.  But more importantly, Dr. Ferebee directed his words directly to students.  Many who read the letter were inspired by Dr. Ferebee’s plain talk and uplifting message. We asked Dr. Ferebee if he’d record his words so all of Indianapolis and Central Indiana could share in his optimism and challenge to all – students and adults.  The IPS Chief who starts work full time in Indianapolis in mid-September, visited our Radio One studios in Raleigh/Durham and recorded his message.  AM1310 The Light Is Proud To Share Dr. Ferebee’s Message With You.
