>>>Second Police Shooting in Four Days

IMPD officer Greg Stevens was shot early Tuesday morning answering a disturbance call at the Greenway Apartments on East 21st Street. The 4-year veteran was wounded in the leg but has been treated and released from Wishard Memorial Hospital. The suspect has been identified as 22-year-old Charles Williams from Gary, Ind.  William was also shot in an exchange of gunfire with police and is listed in fair condition at Wishard. He’ll face multiple charges upon release including a preliminary charge of attempted murder and carrying a handgun without a license.

>>>Police Cars to Lead Bradway Procession

An estimated one-thousand police cars will lead the funeral procession for fallen IMPD Officer Rod Bradway.  The procession will pass Wayne Township Fire Station Number 81, where Bradway worked before joining IMPD, and will pause at the Northwest District where he was assigned.  Bradway’s funeral is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Thursday at Bankers Life Fieldhouse.

>>>Man with Brain Injury Missing

A man with a traumatic brain injury and several other mental disorders is missing.  Police say 32-year-old Jerald Bradford was last seen Monday evening on East 32nd Street.  He is described as a light-skinned black male, about five-ten and 220 pounds.  He was last seen wearing dark blue pajamas, a mustard yellow t-shirt and white socks. >>>Former FBI Bomb Tech To Plead Guilty

(Carmel, IN)  —  A former FBI bomb technician from Carmel is pleading guilty to disclosing national defense information.  Donald Sachtleben [[ sacht-leben ]] is accused of leaking information about a failed al-Qaida bomb plot in 2012.  His involvement was discovered while officials in Indiana were investigating him as part of a child pornography ring.  Sachtleben has also agreed to plead guilty to those charges.

>>>Man Attacks Three People

A man accused of stabbing two people and hitting a third is behind bars.  Investigators say the attacks happened Monday morning and were unprovoked. Larry Johnson was arrested near South Street and Capitol Avenue after officers saw him throwing a knife over his head. He attacked his victims on Maryland and Illinois Streets

>>>Kids Removed from Unsanitary Conditions

A mother and father could face child neglect charges after their six kids were found living in unsanitary conditions.  Police say they were called to a home on South Rybolt Avenue Sunday night on a report of child abuse.  Officers say the home was infested with fleas and cockroaches, there was little food and what was there was rotten, feces covered the floor and there were condoms on the kids’ beds.

The new superintendent of Indianapolis Public Schools has taken the helm of the state’s second-largest school district. On his first day Monday, Dr. Lewis Ferebee rode a school bus to Francis Scott Key Elementary and met with students and staff. Later, he spent time with the students at Arsenal Tech.
