Mark, Barbara and Tony.  For 17 years they were the public faces of one of the most successful local television shows in American history.  From 1989 to 2005 the Hoosier Millionaire, the TV game show connected to the Hoosier Lottery captivated hundreds of thousands of Indiana TV viewers each week. From the first episode, Mark Patrick, Barbara Hobbs and Tony Lamont became household names and faces in Indiana homes.

Now nine years after the program went off the air, the trio have reunited for a special series of broadcasts.  Mark, Barbara and Tony joined Amos for a special, fun interview about the reunion and the significance of Hoosier Millionaire which during its time was the most watched of the state lottery TV shows in America. In the interview on the Friday’s Amos and Abdul, the trio talked about the impact of the program. How it became an opportunity for different ages and generations in a family to sit down and watch a TV show together.  The trio told of when the show visited cities like Evansville how those communities embraced those live road shows.

The revival of Hoosier Millionaire will take place in five cities during the Spring and Summer in Evansville, Terre Haute, Elkhart, Fort Wayne, and New Albany. It culminates in a show August 16th on the new Grandstand Stage at the Indiana State Fair. Also during the interview, Mark Patrick, Barbara Hobbs and Tony Lamont talk about the things they’re doing now, including being grandparents. Besides appearing on the Hoosier Millionaire, Tony Lamont and Mark Patrick were Indianapolis broadcasting legends. Tony was a veteran radio broadcaster for some three decades at WHHH(FM) and WTLC-FM. Mark Patrick was a legend as Sports Director of WISH-TV and a semi-regular on the Bob and Tom radio show.  Patrick also is the father of a major league baseball star, Drew Storen, a star relief pitcher for the Washington Nationals.
