The American Dental Association recognizes February as National Children’s Dental Health Month

    Screen shot 2014-02-18 at 10.41.11 AM  As we get close to the end of February The Marion County Health Department, Want’s Parents to know about your child’s Good Dental Health, So they have set up a chance to go and get your child’s teeth looked at!  For $10, a child age 18 or younger will receive a dental exam, x-rays, cleaning and fluoride. The price also includes Toothprints, a dental identification print that captures a child’s DNA from saliva, Here is a list of Clinic’s that will look at your kids/Grand kid’s Teeth.     Healthy dental habits for children include:

    • Brushing at least twice a day
    • Flossing daily
    • Eating healthy and nutritious foods and limit the intake of sugary carbonated and acidic drinks
    • Visiting the dentist for regular check-ups and cleanings
    • Wearing a mouth guard during sports
