Chante Moore is definitely making her way to the Circle City for the 2014 Women’s Empowerment Series! The “R&B Divas” LA star is slated to chante_moorejoin a few of her co-stars for the event that is sure to be inspiring!

Moore’s passion for music and singing began long before she got her break. As a minster’s daughter, she began singing in church. Her sultry voice known for its amazing four-octave vocal range was later discovered after she competed in a beauty pageant. She officially entered the music industry at 22-years-old upon signing her first record deal. Now, her memorable hits such as “Love’s Taken Over,” “Chante’s Got A Man,” “It’s Alright” and “I’m What You Need” are still taking over the airwaves. She has contributed her beautiful voice to other legendary singers’ projects including “One More Time” with Kenny G, “Your Home Is in My Heart” with Boyz II Men, which was featured on the How Stella Got Her Groove Back soundtrack. Her song “Wey U” was a hit song on the popular Waiting to Exhale movie as well.

Moore’s soulful talent has earned her a number of nominations for Soul Train Music Awards and NAACP Image Awards. Her collaboration with The Isley Brothers for “Contagious” earned her a Soul Train Music Award for Best R&B Soul Single, Group, Band or Duo. She was featured in Otis Sallid’s Gospel! Gospel! Gospel! at the Wilshire Ebell Theater.

Moore, who is the mother of two children, is slated to make her Broadway debut in “Gospel Soul Rock ‘n’ Roll”.

Lil_MoWhile Lil Mo, born Cynthia Loving, is known for her catchy hooks on songs like Ja Rule’s “Put It On Me”, she also made a name for herself as a radio personality, songwriter and record producer. Dubbed the “Godmother of Hip-Hop and R&B”, Lil mo’ has also collaborated with heavy hitters like Keith Sweat, Black Street, Jay Z and Fabolous. Her songs “Superwoman” and “Forever” were girl power and love anthems for women everywhere. Which makes it no surprise that she has been named a “who’s Who” of Hip-Hop and R&B. However, her childhood doesn’t sing to the tune of the hard-knock lifestyle that many other artists croon about. Lil Mo’s family was often called the “fake Cosbys” when she was growing up.

Her songwriting skills scored her a product deal with Flavahood Entertainment and caught the attention of Hip-Hop great Missy Elliott, who chose one of Lil’ Mo’s tracks for her Da Real World project. She ended up collaborating with Missy Elliott on her popular song “Hot Boyz” as well as her fellow “R&B Divas: LA” star Kelly Price.

Lil’ Mo took a break from the music industry to spend more time with her husband and manager Philip Bryant. She is mother to four children, ranging in age from 4 months to 10-years-old. Now, she’s ready for her comeback and being a positive influence for her little ones.

When most people think of Michel’le Toussant they can’t help but to notice the difference between her high pitched voice and powerful vocals.michelle_full She kicked off her musical career as a featured female vocalist on the World Class Wreckin’ Cru’s “Turn Off the Lights” single that was released in 1987. It featured her top hits “No More Lies,” “Nicety” and “Something in My Heart” and was produced by music mogul Dr. Dre.

In 1998 Michel’le dropped her third solo album, Hung Jury, with Death Records. She tied the knot with Suge Knight in 1999. The couple had a daughter together before the ended their marriage in 2002. Her last recorded song, “I Know Where I’m Going,” is featured on the Dysfunktional Family Soundtrack that was released in 2003.

Michel’le is a mother of two and is currently working on getting full swing back into the music industry as well as writing a memoir.
