BETTER CUSTOMER SERVICE AT ISSUE & WATER BILLS WILL INCREASE

Citizens Energy Group is under investigation for their management practices. According the Indiana Utility Regulatory Commission, Citizens has “serious issues” with its billing practices and about 20-percent of callers hang up before being helped because of long wait times when they call. Due to these constant complaints the IURC is specifically going to look at the utility company in three specific areas: quality of customer service, billing compliance and payment application compliance.

In another development regarding the IURC and Citizens, the state utility regulators also approved Citizens request to increase water rates. But not by the increase the utility company wanted. Your water bills will increase by nine percent instead of the 14.7 percent hike sought.
