V__5044V__1302Michael Wilbon is one of the premiere sportswriters and sports broadcasters in America. A graduate of Northwestern University (Amos Brown’s alma mater) Wilbon first made a name for himself as an award winning sports writer for the Washington Post. Then he joined ESPN co-hosting the popular Pardon the Interruption show. Wilbon is passionate not just about the games of sports, but the politics and sociology. Michael Wilbon was in Indianapolis to speak at a seminar at IUPUI on the role of Baseball in the Civil Rights Movement.  In an exclusive Afternoons with Amos interview, Michael Wilbon talked to his fellow Northwestern alumnus (Wilbon is also a Northwestern Trustee) about the lack of African-Americans playing baseball from the playgrounds to the major leagues.  Wilbon also talked with Amos about the late season woes of the Indiana Pacers and whether Indianapolis will ever get to host another NBA All Star Game.  Click the Arrow to Hear Amos’ Interview with famed sportswriter Michael Wilbon.
