The University of Kentucky is giving an honorary degree to a black man denied admission in 1946. Harrison Wilson instead went to Kentucky State University to continue his education and became a successful basketball coach, administrator and university president.Wilson will get his degree from U of K on Saturday along side his grandson, who is getting a master’s degree in history.
