Summer is finally here and our vanities and makeup bags have been made over for our mission to be bronzed and summertime fine. MUST READ: 3 Summer Beauty Tips From Celebrity Makeup Artist Sam Fine

I chatted with celebrity makeup artist, Jessica Smalls (you know, she’s responsible for making Solange and Tika look incredible) and she gave me a few summer beauty tips that I guarantee you’ll immediately add to your routine!

Tip 1:

For a perfect goddess glow, sprinkle a tiny bit of powder bronzer (I recommend MAC cosmetics Bronze Shimmer powder) into your oil free moisturizer and apply to your face as you would regularly.

Tip 2:

We all love the summer weather, if but you’re curvy girl one of the down sides of summer is having your thighs chafe from running together. To get come comfort apply any silicone based primer (Black Opal liquid mattifier) to your inner thigh area. Your thigh will glide smoothly, avoiding friction and irritation.

Tip 3:

Stick to waterproof eyeliner and mascara’s (I suggest Cargo cosmetics Swimable eye liners). I know that it can be tough to take off at the end of the day. But you rather take if off when you want, rather than having it melting down your eyes.

Tip 4:

Make sure your lip balm has SPF. I recommend Softlips Lip Protectant SPF 20. Yes, your lips can get sunburnt and yes, it’s hurts, (learn from my pain)!

Tip 5:

Leave the matte lipsticks in the drawer until fall. Opt for juicy, vibrant colored lip glosses. The color I’m living for right now is “Fruitylicious” from Covergirl’s Colorlicious collection.
