An AMBER Alert has been issued for an Indianapolis infant who has been allegedly abducted by two people after they allegedly robbed the baby’s father.  The baby is considered to be in extreme danger.

Indianapolis Metro Police say at approximately noon on Wednesday they went to the scene, in the area of  South Harding and Henry Streets, to answer a robbery report and there they found a 23-year-old male saying he had been robbed. He also told them his six week old child was taken during that robbery. The baby has been identified as Delano Wilson.

According to IMPD, the father said as he was walking down the alley and holding his son, he was approached by an unidentified couple and the man pointed a gun at him and struck him in the head with the gun’s handle.  In this pistol-whipping, the victim lost consciousness briefly, and as he regained consciousness, he saw the female carrying away his baby.  The suspects were last seen leaving in a blue Ford Taurus vehicle 2000 to 2003 model year with the infant. The suspects are described as a man age 25 to 30-years-old, five-six to five-nine with a medium build and short brown hair wearing a black doo-rag and a red t-shirt. The woman is described as Hispanic, age 25 to 30-years-old with a thin build with long brown hair.

IMPD conducted an extensive search with the assistance of the Indianapolis Fire Department. When they didn’t locate the baby, officials requested a statewide AMBER Alert. This is an ongoing investigation.  If you have any info in this case, detectives ask you to immediately call 9-1-1 or -317-327-6540.
