Outgoing Attorney General Eric Holder commenting on efforts to stop citizens from voting, says the U. S. Department of Justice will continue fighting efforts to restrict your voting rights.  Many Republican-led states have passed strict voter ID laws to combat voter fraud.  In a forum in Washington D.C., Holder insisted that widespread voter fraud simply does not exist. Holder announced his resignation this week after nearly six years in office.  He plans to stay until a successor is confirmed by the Senate. President Barack Obama is expected to nominate a new attorney general in the next couple of weeks. Some observers say Obama will move to get this done very quickly in an effort to get approval from a Democrat-held Senate before the mid-term elections.
