bob donaldsonchris wrightdeby knoxA year after Debby Knox “retired” from WISH-TV/Channel 8 as the longest serving female TV news anchor in Indianapolis history and a year and a half after Chris Wright left WTHR/Channel 13 in a contract tiff, the two, who once worked together at Channel 8 will be reunited on a new prime time evening newscast on WTTV/Channel 4.  Debbie Knox and Chris Wright will be joined on Channel 4’s new 5pm, 6pm and 11pm newscasts by veteran anchor Bob Donaldson who’s been anchoring prime time news on WXIN/Channel 59 for some 23 years.  The new anchor team is part of the shakeup in local TV that occurred back in August when the CBS network announced they were switching their programming from channel 8 after 60 years to Channel 4.  CBS viewers are used to quality, in-depth newscasts, with programs like 60 Minutes, CBS Sunday Morning, Face the Nation and the CBS Evening News.  Now complimenting that will be evening newscasts anchored by Bob Donaldson, Debby Knox with weather by Chris Wright.  The new newcasts begin on New Year’s Day, Thursday, January 1, 2015.
