Thousands were eager to hear the final word from Mega Fest founder Bishop T.D. Jakes in Dallas Sunday, but he was absent.
The 58-year-old Potter’s House pastor had a medical emergency that prevented him from delivering the closeout sermon for the huge conference.
According to one of Jakes’ staff pastors, Dr. Cynthia James, he was “told that he has a serious eye irritation with a good prognosis. Imagine how torn he is,” she said to the Mega Fest crowd gathered at the American Airlines Center in Dallas.
She continued, “We’re having a victory shout and he’s trying to get to the service, but his problem demands immediate attention to his eye.”
