Officials at Hamilton Southeastern Schools moved quickly to investigate and punish those responsible for the harassment of a high school football player. Afternoons with Amos Thursday (September 9th) explained what happened and got the reaction of Reginald Coleman, father of the player bullied. Coleman’s son, who is African-American, was harassed and bullied by two other African-American team members on a school bus after a game September 3rd. Fishers police quickly responded and investigated as did school officials. Hamilton Southeastern Superintendent Dr. Brian Smith announced the suspension of the football coach, reprimands to other officials and that punishment had been meted out to the student bullies.
