UPDATED: After a heated and emotional town hall Tuesday night before 275 people at the Walker Theater, artist Fred Wilson appears live TODAY at 1pm on Afternoons with Amos. Wilson is the New York-based, African-American artist who’s designing a the controversial sculpture for the Cultural Trail, titled E Pluribus Unum (Out of Many, One) which depicts the image of the slave from the Soldiers’ and Sailors’ Monument as a freed slave in an “upright, empowered position as a 21st Century person of color, holding a flag representing the African Diaspora”.
