On December 15, 2011, Tyree Lincoln Smith, 35, was sleeping on someone’s porch when Angel “Tun Tun” Gonzales discovered him, according to a Connecticut Post report.  He immediately tried to help Smith by asking if he would like to share the apartment he was living in.  He wasn’t inside but moments when he began hacking into his head with an ax.

The police was notified by his cousin, Nicole Rabb, that he had committed a murder.  Rabb said that Smith had talked with her before about committing a murder, but she thought it was his normal rantings and dismissed them. Smith admitted to Rabb that he took part of Gonzales brain and eye and ate it at her brother’s grave site.

Rabb, helped police nab her cousin for his crimes by getting him to confess over the phone, but it took them until January 20, to take her and his mother seriously.  The body wasn’t discovered in the apartment until then.  He fled to Florida after he came to her home in bloody clothes and used her bathroom to shower.  He packed the clothes in plastic and sat down to her dinner table with her and her two sons and simply said:

“I got my blood.”

The macabre story of murder and madness is much more grim than we expressed here. Thank God this freak is in jail on $1 million bond.  How did he get a bond you ask?  We’re asking the same question. TLC is capitalizing on the latest trend of reality shows and giving the world what it really wants to see with a new series “First Ladies” of the Atlanta area churches.

With True Entertainment, the same production company behind RHOA, behind it, how could it go wrong?

“We are excited to work with TLC to profile the lives of these strong-willed women,” True Entertainment president Steven Weinstock says. “With most praise in religious communities directed towards male preachers, we are thrilled to give these remarkable ladies the spotlight they crave and deserve.”

The series will follow the women who play the role of preacher’s wives and mothers at home. The real drama is how they manage both while keeping their cool.

An airdate has yet to be announced. But they need to hurry that up because it’s bound to be a popular one.

Graham, 19, was pursued by a team of police who had attempted to stop and question him.  Reportedly, police witnessed the youth adjusting the waistband of his pants on the street and immediately assumed he had a gun.  The youth, who had a prior arrest record for marijuana possession and burglary, ran from the officers who then gave chase.

The unarmed boy was tracked down by police in his residential second-floor apartment.  When Graham managed to make it inside his apartment, he reportedly ran inside the bathroom with two officers in hot pursuit.  A tussle ensued and one of the policeman fired a bullet from his .9 mm gun, hitting Graham in chest.  The name of the officer who did the shooting has not been released, but reports state that he is a 30-year-old, two-year veteran who has never been involved in a prior shooting.

According to sources, Graham was unarmed:

“He had some weed on with him,” a family friend told the Daily News. “It wasn’t a big deal. They shot him inside the house. … He didn’t have a gun.”

Police reports state that a small amount of marijuana was found in the bathroom and speculate that perhaps the teen had been trying to flush it down the toilet to avoid further arrest.

Graham was taken to a nearby hospital and pronounced dead.

Constance Malcolm, 39, who is Graham’s mother, witnessed the incident and is distraught over the death of her son.

“They chased him into the house.  Nobody deserves to be shot in their own home.”

The Alliance is an outgrowth of efforts by the late Johnnie Cocrhan who pressu who, with others, pressured the NFL for better minority inclusion. That resulted in the Rooney Rule, created by Pittsburgh Steelers owner Dan Rooney which requires NFL teams to interview minorities for head coaching and top executive positions.  Rooney, currently American Ambassador to Ireland, also attended the event.

Honored at the event was former NFL Commissioner Paul Tagliabue who is the first recpient of an annual award in his name.

African-American NFL executives honored were: Sheldon White, VP/Pro personnell and Martin Mayhew General Manager Detroit Lions; Reggie McKenzie, General Manager Oakland Raiders; Rick Smith Exec VP/General Manager Houston Texans, Ozzie Newsome GM/Executive VP Baltimore Ravens and Rick Smith Sr VP/General Manager New York Giants.

Two head coaches, Cincinnati Bengals Marvin Lewis and Pittsburgh Steelers Mike Tomlin were also honored.
