STUDY: More Than Half Of Black Girls Are Sexually Assaulted

A NEWSONE EXCLUSIVE REPORT

Sixty percent of black girls have experienced sexual abuse at the hands of black men before reaching the age of 18, according to an ongoing study conducted by Black Women’s Blueprint.

More than 300 black women nationwide have participated in the study so far and 700 more are being sought to take in the survey by March 2012.

QUEENS-Alexander Figueroa, shot and killed the mother of his two children, Giummia Villa at her job at a pharmacy with a bouquet of flowers before killing himself, police say. The New York Daily News reports:
