The majority of pet owners would prefer to travel with their pets. According to a new AAA and Best Western survey, over 75-percent of those with animals would always bring their furry friend on vacations if that were an option. More than 50-percent say the biggest obstacle is finding pet-friendly lodging. However, more than a third of pet owners admit they sneak Fido and Fluffy into their hotel rooms anyway. In addition, nearly 30-percent say they would rather take vacations with their dog or cat than their spouse or significant other. Pets are most typically included on personal visits, with 73-percent taking their pets with them to see family or friends. Just over 55-percent like the animal companionship on road trips.
