SHOW DESCRIPTION: The Stellar Awards, the premier Gospel music event recognizing and honoring African-American artists, airs its 27th annual awards show with all-star performances by Kirk Franklin, James Fortune and FIYA, Earnest Pugh, Le’Andria Johnson, Fred Hammond, Kim Burrell, Martha Munizzi, Jessica Reedy, Richard Smallwood and Vision, Da’Truth, Ricky Dilliard and New G, William McDowell, Canton Jones and hip-hop gospel artist, Lecrae, who impressively received two nominations in the same category. Hosted by Marvin Sapp and Dorinda Clark Cole, this year’s show will honor John P. Kee, Vy Higgensen, and Dorothy Norwood with special awards/performances from Isaac Caree and former members of New life Community Choir, Zacardi Cortez, Lowell Pye and Sheila Lakion.
Additional celebrities and artists in attendance include, Vashawn Mitchell, Smokie Norful, Keith “Wonderboy” Johnson, Byron Cage, Karen Clark Sheard, Kurt Carr, Beverly Crawford, Kierra Sheard, Deon Dipping, Jason Nelson, Dottie Peoples and DeForest B. Soaries among others.
