Marvin Sapp and Open Rivers Pictures Announces Partnership in New Docu-Series
Atlanta, GA — Open Rivers Pictures announced today the new partnership of a new docu-series, “Marvin Sapp, Single Dad,” starring recording artist Marvin Sapp and his three kids, Marvin “ML” Sapp II., MiKaila and Madisson.
“Open Rivers Pictures is a partner that I am excited with partnering. I am looking forward in capitalizing on this series with Open Rivers Pictures that will allow people to really understand what family values are all about,” stated Sapp.
“Marvin Sapp, Single Dad” will chronicle the second chapter of Marvin’s life, after the passing of his wife of 20 years. Marvin Sapp, known for his mega gospel hits is now a single dad raising two teens and a tween while pastoring a church. Additionally, he is maintaining a music career and fighting off, “God told me you are my husband!” women. All this requires more prayer and skills than this dad think he has.
Sapp continues by saying, “I have taken on this challenge, as it has been thrusted upon me, and I look forward to raising my children to be quality citizens in the United States of America as well as making sure I do the very best I can being a productive individual as well. This is about a family man (who really believes in family) teaching his children core values along with trying to manage a successful business and a career a well. God’s good, so I am just going to keep it moving,” states Sapp.
Tammy Williams, CEO of Open Rivers Pictures states, “We have been in production since the beginning of the year and I count it a privilege and an honor that Marvin entrusted my company to document the second chapter of his and his kids, ML, MiKalia and Madisson’s life. I think it is timely that the country sees a man, specially an African-American man, who is serious about family values and raising his children.”
Jody Mainello of Lone Oak Entertainment also serves as co-executive producer.
