A veteran police officer on the Ft. Hood, Texas military base has now been revealed as the individual who shot and apprehended the Ft. Hood shooter. Senior Sgt. Mark Todd, a twenty-five year veteran police officer and former soldier is being called the other Ft. Hood hero.

Early media reports had said than another Ft. Hood policewoman, Sgt. Kimberly Munley, was the one that shot Maj. Nidal Malik Hasan and help bring the tragedy to an end. Now come reports that Todd and Munley were both heroes.  Todd is African-American. Munley is white.

The involvement of the Black officer was revealed on yesterday’s Oprah show. This morning Todd told his story on CBS’s The Early Show and NBC’s  Today Show and ABC’s Good Morning America.
