Community Action Gets Earful From Community About Problems With Energy Assistance Program

With the effects of the Great recession, more Hoosiers are applying for the Federal Energy Assistance program than ever before.  And that’s caused Community Action of Greater Indianapolis to be swamped with requests.  And complaints have poured into to Afternoons with Amos.  In their first appearance ever on the program, top officials of Community Action appeared to defend and explain their procedures for handling the energy assistance program. Ed Tipton, President of Community Action of Greater Indianapolis appeared on the program and explain the organizations policies and procedures to Amos and listeners.  Assisting him were Cheryl Shelton and Tangie Jackson-Nibbs.
