Man Shot By Police, Now Facing Charges

A man shot by in the abdomen and chest  by Carmel Police on Monday, is now facing criminal charges.

25 Year Old Aaron David, has been charged with two counts of resisting law enforcement and one count of intimidation and and 3 other charges.

Police said A woman told police that David, her ex-boyfriend, called saying he was going to kill her and her current boyfriend.

When police finally caught up with David, officers said they saw he was holding a gun and ordered him several times to drop it before he was shot and eventually taken to St. Vincent Hospital.

 

School Finds Gun Hidden in Classroom

A Kokomo teacher is accused of stashing a gun in the ceiling of his former classroom.

Police began investigating after a gun was found above the ceiling tiles in a classroom at the Kokomo Area Career Center on March 8.

Investigators traced the gun to Johnson’s ex-wife.

Johnson turned himself in to police Tuesday on preliminary charges of possessing a firearm on school property and criminal recklessness.

 

Police Arrest Suspected Killer

Metro police have made an arrest in connection with a February shooting that left one man dead.

31 Year Old Michael Copeland was taken into custody on charges of murder and carrying a handgun without a license, police said.

Copeland is suspected in the Feb. 7th shooting  of 19 year old Mitchell Lane Jr..

 

Indianapolis Launches New Way To Report Potholes

On your way to work this morning, you probably have hit several potholes. Well now the City of Indianapolis has a new tool to help you report – and avoid them.

“Indy’s Pothole Viewer” is The new interactive page allows you to view, report, and check the status of reported street potholes.

The unofficial “pothole season” for the City of Indianapolis begins in March and runs through June.

Indiana Prison Inmate Arrested in Louisiana

Federal marshals in Louisiana have arrested a southern Indiana man in connection with the slaying of another inmate at the Indiana State Prison nearly 30 years ago.

State Police say marshals arrested 52-year-old Paul Stucker of Scottsburg in Gretna, La., Tuesday on a felony murder warrant.

Stucker was held at the state prison in Michigan City when 34-year-old Johnny Hodge was killed in his cell on Oct. 19, 1983. Hodge was serving a life sentence for two slayings.

Dillinger Getaway Car On Display in Indy

A famous getaway car has moved to Indianapolis.

That car, it belonged to infamous Public Enemy Number One – John Dillinger- who was shot in the leg as he sped away from police in that car.

Dillinger is one of the most notorious criminals in Indiana history. His career lasted only 14 months; his car, only eight days, after the car veered off the road and wrecked it, along the Tipton-Hamilton County line  He left it behind.

The car will be on display at the Indianapolis International Airport until March of 2015.

 

Man Stabbed and Robbed at West Side Gas Station

A man is being hospitalized at Wishard Memorial Hospital in critical condition this morning after he was stabbed at a gas station on the city’s west side.

At about 5:30 a.m., IMPD was called to The Marathon Gas Station 2700 block of Lafayette Road at 5:30, when they believe the man was robbed before he was stabbed.

 

Plane Makes Emergency Landing in Indianapolis

A Southwest flight had to make an emergency landing at Indianapolis International Airport Tuesday night.

Southwest flight from Baltimore to Las Vegas — opted to make an emergency landing after hearing an unusual sound in the rear of the aircraft. Emergency crews responded, but found nothing unusual.
