Please be our guest as our P.R.E.S.S. Ministry hosts Back to School Community Bash 2010. Our theme is Knowledge is Power!

We believe education is important to pursuing your purpose. This event will expose you to colleges, universities and other student support services. It is open to youth and adults alike.

The bash will be held at Emmaus from 1pm-6pm Saturday, August 7, 2010. Arrive early to receive a ticket. All those with tickets will be given school supplies.

P.R.E.S.S. Back To School Community Bash

Event Info:

  • College Fair 1p-6p – Visiting colleges, universities, and organizations will be available to assist your continuing education needs.

  • Marion County Bar Association 1p-3p – All desiring assistance with college applications, scholarship applications and resumes will have one on one time with a representative from this organization.
  • Marion County Health Department 1:30p-4p – The Health Department will provide FREE basic school physicals. School physicals will be provided to the FIRST 25 youth that sign up.
  • Greek Hour 3p-4p – Representatives from various Black Greek-letter organizations will give us a look at what it is like to be “ON THE YARD”. This features a mini step show.
  • School Supply Distribution 5:30p – All those with tickets will be given school supplies FIRST. Those without tickets will be given school supplies after those with tickets.

Stick Around for NU CHURCH The Back to School Community Bash will be held in conjunction with Nu Church. Emmaus and AM 1310 The Light  join together to broadcast Live on location “The Radical Praise Party” from 4:30pm – 6pm. Spread the word!
